Hemp Compliance & Legal Disclaimer

Hemp Compliance & Legal Disclaimer

Transparency. Education. Responsibility.

Last Updated: September 8, 2026

At EdensGenie, we believe buying hemp-derived products should come with clear information—not confusing terminology, exaggerated promises, or vague claims about legality. We created this page to explain what our products are, how hemp and THCA are regulated, what our testing and compliance standards mean, and what customers should know before making a purchase.

Our goal is simple: educate first, sell second.

Important Legal Notice: Nothing on this page constitutes legal, medical, or tax advice. EdensGenie does not provide individualized legal or medical advice, and no information on this website creates an attorney-client or physician-patient relationship. If you need advice regarding the legality, possession, transportation, use, or sale of a cannabinoid product, consult a qualified attorney in the applicable jurisdiction.

1. Our Commitment to Compliance

At EdensGenie, compliance isn't something we want customers to think about only after they have a problem. We believe compliance should be part of the product from the beginning. That means paying attention to where products come from, how cannabinoids are produced, laboratory testing, batch identification, cannabinoid profiles, THC measurements, contaminant testing, packaging and labeling, age restrictions, advertising and product claims, state-specific requirements, changes to federal law, and where products can legally be shipped.

2. What Is Hemp?

Under Florida's current hemp framework, hemp generally refers to Cannabis sativa L. and its parts, derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers that meet the applicable THC requirements. Importantly, "hemp" is a legal and regulatory classification—not simply another word for cannabis.

3. What Is THCA?

THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in cannabis plants, including hemp varieties. THCA and delta-9 THC are different cannabinoids. However, THCA can undergo decarboxylation when exposed to heat, converting into delta-9 THC. This distinction matters because laws can define and measure THC differently.

4. Is THCA Legal?

There is no responsible one-sentence answer that applies to every THCA product, every state, and every date. A product's legal status may depend on the source of the cannabinoid, cannabinoid composition, delta-9 THC concentration, THCA concentration, total THC calculations, whether cannabinoids are naturally occurring or chemically converted, the form and amount of the finished product, federal law, state law, local restrictions, and the date on which the law is being applied. Customers are responsible for knowing and following the laws applicable to them.

5. Florida Hemp Compliance

Florida has established a state hemp program and regulates hemp-derived products through Florida law and applicable regulatory requirements. However, meeting Florida's hemp definition does not automatically mean that a product is lawful in every other state or under every federal regulatory framework.

6. 21+ Only

EdensGenie products are intended for adults 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly sell our products to individuals under 21. By purchasing from EdensGenie, you represent that you are at least 21 years old, have provided accurate information, are legally permitted to purchase the product in your jurisdiction, will use the product responsibly, and will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

7. Certificates of Analysis (COAs)

Where applicable, EdensGenie products are supported by laboratory documentation. A COA may contain information regarding cannabinoid concentrations (Delta-9 THC, THCA, others), batch or lot numbers, testing dates, microbial contaminants, heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, and other safety measurements. We encourage customers to verify the product name, batch number, testing date, cannabinoid profile, THC measurements, safety testing, and laboratory information.

8. Why Testing Matters

Cannabinoid products are not all identical. Testing helps provide a clearer picture of what is actually present in a particular batch. Our philosophy: if we make a meaningful statement about a product, we should be able to support it with appropriate documentation.

9. Federal Hemp Law Is Changing

Federal hemp law is scheduled to change significantly on November 12, 2026. The scheduled changes include a total-THC standard that includes THCA, a 0.3% total-THC concentration threshold, additional restrictions on finished hemp-derived cannabinoid products, and a 0.4 mg total-THC-per-container limit. EdensGenie will continue monitoring applicable developments and will adjust product offerings, formulations, shipping policies, and compliance practices as appropriate.

10. Florida Law vs. Federal Law

A product's status under Florida law does not necessarily answer questions regarding federal law, another state's law, transportation across state lines, possession in another jurisdiction, employment drug testing, athletic regulations, court or probation requirements, federal property, military installations, or airports. Do not assume that a product permitted under one legal framework is automatically permitted under another.

11. Know the Laws Where You Live

If you are purchasing from outside Florida, you are responsible for understanding the laws applicable to you. EdensGenie may restrict or refuse shipments to jurisdictions where we believe a product may be prohibited. A successful order or shipment is not a legal opinion or guarantee that possession or use of the product is lawful in your jurisdiction.

12. Shipping Does Not Equal Legal Approval

If EdensGenie accepts and ships an order, that does not mean we have determined that possession or use of the product is lawful for the recipient. We encourage customers to research applicable laws before purchasing, particularly when traveling or transporting cannabinoid products across state lines.

13. Drug Testing

Hemp-derived does not mean drug-test safe. Some hemp-derived products may contain THC or other cannabinoids that can result in detectable metabolites. EdensGenie does not guarantee that any product will produce a negative drug test. If you are subject to workplace, military, athletic, professional licensing, probation, or other substance-testing programs, carefully consider the potential consequences before using cannabinoid products.

14. Driving & Impairment

Do not drive or operate machinery after consuming a cannabinoid product if you may be impaired. Individual responses to cannabinoids can vary. Do not engage in activities requiring full attention or coordination if you believe a product has affected your ability to do so safely.

15. Medical Disclaimer

EdensGenie products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as medical advice. If you have a medical condition or take medication, speak with a qualified healthcare professional before using cannabinoid products.

16. FDA Disclaimer

EdensGenie does not represent that its products are FDA-approved drugs, dietary supplements, or approved treatments for medical conditions. The FDA has not approved cannabis-derived or CBD products currently available on the market other than certain specifically approved pharmaceutical drugs.

17. No Unsubstantiated Health Claims

EdensGenie does not rely on statements suggesting that a cannabinoid product is guaranteed to produce a specific medical result. Our educational content is intended to help customers understand cannabinoids—not to replace qualified medical advice.

18. Alcohol, Medications & Other Substances

Cannabinoids may interact with alcohol, prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, or other substances. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using cannabinoid products if you take medication or have concerns about potential interactions.

19. Keep Products Away From Children & Pets

Store cannabinoid products securely and keep them out of reach of children, minors, and pets. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek appropriate medical or veterinary assistance.

20. Product Variations

Hemp-derived products are made from botanical materials and may naturally vary between batches in color, aroma, texture, taste, crystal formation, cannabinoid concentrations, and appearance. Natural variation does not necessarily indicate a defective product.

21. Responsible Use

Before using a product: read the product label, review available laboratory information, understand the cannabinoid profile, follow recommended use instructions, start cautiously with new products, avoid combining substances without understanding interactions, do not drive if impaired, keep products away from children and pets, store products securely, and consult a healthcare professional if you have questions about medical interactions.

22. What "Compliance" Means to EdensGenie

To us, compliance means asking difficult questions: Where did this product come from? What exactly is in it? Has it been tested? Does the documentation correspond to the product being sold? Are we making claims the evidence supports? We would rather explain complexity honestly than pretend the law is simpler than it is.

23. Our Promise to Customers

EdensGenie is committed to building a hemp company around transparency, education, and responsible commerce. We will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product information, maintain appropriate documentation, support products with laboratory testing, avoid misleading medical claims, respect age requirements, monitor regulatory changes, update policies when significant legal developments occur, restrict products or destinations when compliance concerns arise, and educate customers about the potential and limitations of cannabinoid products.

24. Laws Change

Hemp and cannabinoid regulations are changing rapidly. Product availability, formulations, shipping restrictions, age-verification requirements, product labeling, and our policies may all change. The information on this page reflects our understanding of the law as of the date listed at the top. Customers should not rely on an old version of this page as a current legal determination.

25. No Guarantee of Legal Status

Nothing on the EdensGenie website should be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular product is legal for every person or in every jurisdiction. If you need a legal determination regarding your particular situation, please consult a licensed attorney familiar with hemp and cannabinoid law in the relevant jurisdiction.

26. Frequently Asked Questions

Is THCA the same as delta-9 THC?
No. They are chemically distinct, but THCA can convert into delta-9 THC when heated.

Does hemp-derived mean a product is legal everywhere?
No. Laws vary by jurisdiction and can change over time.

Can THCA show up on a drug test?
Yes, it can create drug-testing concerns. EdensGenie does not guarantee a negative drug test.

Are EdensGenie products FDA-approved?
No.

Are EdensGenie products intended to treat medical conditions?
No. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

Why do you provide COAs?
Because customers deserve meaningful information about what is in the products they purchase.

Can I travel with hemp products?
Do not assume you can legally transport a cannabinoid product everywhere simply because it was legally purchased in Florida.

Why is November 12, 2026 important?
Federal law is scheduled to change on that date, shifting to a total-THC definition that expressly includes THCA.

What should I do if I am unsure whether a product is legal where I live?
Research the applicable laws or speak with a qualified attorney.

27. Our Bottom Line

At EdensGenie, we believe informed customers are better customers. We want you to understand what you're buying, what the laboratory results say, what the law currently says, where the uncertainty exists, and why those things can change.

Hemp law is complicated. Your trust shouldn't be.

EdensGenie — Transparency in every batch. Education before everything.

About us

I’m Alexander, and I’ve been a farmer since I was in diapers.

I grew up learning the value of hard work, quality, and doing things the right way. Two years ago, I had the opportunity to take those roots in a new direction after receiving my Florida hemp license.

Since then, I’ve been focused on growing some of the finest hemp varieties I can — with the same care and attention I’ve brought to farming my entire life.

I have an obsession with doing good work and creating something that brings people a little happiness.

That’s what inspired The Genie.

Because sometimes, good things start with a simple wish.

Welcome to the family.
